Would you believe we have alredy made 9 dogs together and this is number 10? And how much fun it has been!
I have had the most marvellous time hearing from you guys, and I've loved your comments.
Well, this is Booker. If you've been around me long enough you know that I love COLOR! So you won't be surprised that Booker is almost bursting with color. I have a friend whose pet always went for her books when she was a student, and she named him Booker. I also have a pet who loves books, I only have to be doing something with books and guess what? I will have a loved friend lying on top of the pile in no time at all! So, here's Booker!

Materials:
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Spring Green
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Bright Yellow
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Blue
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Hot Red
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Black (scraps)
Red Heart worsted weight yarn White (scraps)
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Light Blue (scraps)

Crochet size H hook
Fiberfill
scissors
Blunt needle

Body (Make 2)- With Spring Green, ch 32.
Row 1- 1 sc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn. (31 sc made).
Row 2- 1 sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn.
Rows 3 to 15- 1 sc in each sc across. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Rows 16 to 20- Join Bright Yellow. Make 1 sc in each sc across. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Rows 21 to 25- Join Blue. Work 1 sc in each sc across. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Rows 26 to 31- Join Hot Red. Make 1 sc in each sc across. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Legs (Make 2)- With Blue, ch 2. Round 1- Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sl st to join rnd.
Rnd 2- Make 2 sc in each sc acround. Rnd 3- 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around.
Rnd 4- 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. Fasten off, Blue. Weave in tail.
Rnd 5- Join Bright yellow. Work 1 sc in each sc around. Rnds 6 to 8- 1 sc in each sc around.
Fasten off, Bright Yellow, weave in tail. Rnd 9- Join Spring Green, make 1 sc in each sc around.
Rnds 10 to 13- 1 sc in each sc around. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Arms (Make 2)- With Blue, ch 2. Rnd 1- Make 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sl st to join rnd.
Rnd 2- Work 2 sc in each sc around. Rnd 3- 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. Fasten off Blue.
Rnd 4- Join Bright Yellow, 1 sc in each sc around. Rnds 5 to 7- Work 1 sc in each sc around. Fasten off, weave in tail.
Rnd 8- Join Hot Red, Work 1 sc in each sc around. Rnds 9 to 11- Make 1 sc in each sc around. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Tail- With Spring Green, ch 2. Rnd 1- Make 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. Rnd 2- 2 sc in each sc around. Rnds 3 to 12- 1 sc in each sc across. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Ears-
Left Ear- With Hot Red, ch 2. Rnd 1- Make 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. Rnd 2- Work 2 sc in each sc around. Rnd 3- 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around.
Rnd 4- 1 sc in each of first 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. Rnds 5 to 7- 1 sc in each sc around. Rnd 8- 1 sc in each of first 4 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, 1 sc in each of next 4 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, rep around.
Rnd 9- 1 sc in each of first 3 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, rep around.
Rnd 10- 1 sc in each sc around. Rnd 11- 1 sc in each of first 4 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, 1 sc in each of next 4 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, rep around. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Right Ear- With Spring Green, rep all rnds as for Left Ear. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Eyes (make 2)- With White, ch 2. Rnd 1- Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st to join. Rnd 2- Make 2 sc in each sc around. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Irises (make 2)- With Light Blue, ch 2. Rnd 1- Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. Rnd 2- Make 2 sc in each of first 3 sc, fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Pupils (make 2)- With Black, ch 2, Rnd 1- Make 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Muzzle (make 2)- With Light Blue, ch 11. Row 1- 1 sc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch till last ch, 3 sc in last ch. Turn piece around and make 1 sc in each of the bottom loops of foundation ch till you reach the last one, 2 sc in that last loop, sl st to join rnd.
Rnd 2- 2 sc in first sc, 1 sc in eachof next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc.
Row 3- Sl st in each of first 7 sts (LOOSELY! Do not work too tightly). Ch 1, 1 sc where you made last sl st, 1 sc in each of next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 4 sc, 2 sc in last sc. Ch 1, turn.
Row 4- Work 1 sc in each of first 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each sc till end of row. Ch 1, turn.
Round 5- 1 sc in each of first 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc, 1 hdc in each of next 2 sc (first 2 of portion you had left unworked till now), tighten them a bit so as to leave ONO HOLES,
1 sc in each of next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc, 1 hdc in each of next 2 sc, sl st to join rnd. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Tip: If, when making last hdc, you get a hole, undo the last hdc, yo, insert hook and pull up loop as if to make hdc, but leave unfinished, repeat in spot where you saw the hole, yo and pull yarn through all loops on hook. Then fasten off.
Nose- With Black, ch 2. Rnd 1- Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. Rnd 2- Make 2 sc in each sc around. Rnd 3- 1 sc in each sc around. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Putting Booker Together- Stuff legs with fiberfill and sew in place. Fasten off. Stuff arms and swe in place starting from beginning of yellow stripe . Fasten off.
Measure front and cednter muzzle. Pin in place. Bottom of muzzle must lie on 10th Spring Green row, counting from the bottom up. Top of the muzzle must reach only to 3rd Blue row, counting from the bottom up. Sew sides and bottom of muzzle, stuff lightly. Sew top. Fasten off. Sew nose in place as seen in photos. Fasten off. Embroider mouth. Fasten off.
Measure back, center tail, pin in place. Stuff tail lightly. Sew. Fasten off, weave in tail. Turn Booker around. Pin in place whites of eyes as seen in photos. Sew. Fasten off. Sew Light Blue irises ton top of white of eyes, as seen in photos. Wider part toward the back and narrower part toward the front. Fasten off.
Sew pupils on top. Fasten off. Embroider eyebrows on top of eyes. Fasten off. Stuff Booker's body. Sew top. Fasten off. Sew ears in place, inserting square tips of head inside the ears for more strength. Fasten off.
Done!
